GENERAL INFORMATION

Civil engineering is one of the most basic engineering field that begins with the existence of human beings. This engineering branch, that combines materials and technique in the most efficient way, takes on the task of design, analysis and field engineering, primarily in planning and management in bridge and dam, pipelines, road, airport, railway, tunnel, water network, building construction. Civil engineering is crucial as it ensures management and coordination during construction of all kinds of structures and controls compliance with standards.

The employment fields of graduates of civil engineering department are quite a lot due to the continuous need for this engineering branch in all areas of life. Graduates can work in government agencies such as State Hydraulic Works, Ministry of Forest, General Directorate of Highways, Directorate of Agriculture and Rural Affairs as well as in the private sector or by establishing their own companies. Civil engineering is one of the most preferred engineering fields due to its high job opportunities.

History

Malatya Turgut Ozal University Civil Engineering department was established in 2019. It has been planning to place first students in 2020-2021 Education and Training Year. Our staffs in department are 2 Assoc. Prof. Dr., 4 Assist. Prof. Dr. and 1 Rsch. Assist.
